LearneyAI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the LearneyAI platform, an AI-powered service that lets users generate and play interactive learning games. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it.

By using LearneyAI, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and hashed password. If you sign in via a third-party provider, we receive the profile information that provider shares (name, email, avatar).

Content you upload. Study materials you upload (PDFs, documents, text files) are processed by AI to generate games. We store the resulting game HTML on our servers. We do not permanently store the raw study materials after processing.

Usage and gameplay data. We collect information about how you interact with the platform: games you create or play, game completion events, XP and coin rewards, and session data. This information powers the leaderboard, your dashboard, and platform improvements.

Technical data. We automatically receive standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, and referring URL. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, privacy-friendly usage statistics.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Generate AI-powered learning games from materials you provide.
• Calculate and display XP, coins, levels, and leaderboard rankings.
• Send service-related emails (e.g., password resets). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns.

Game generation is powered by large language model APIs (currently Anthropic Claude and/or DeepSeek). When you submit study materials for game creation, the text content is sent to these providers for processing. Please review their respective privacy policies for information on how they handle API data.

The platform is hosted on Vercel. Database services and file storage are managed by trusted cloud providers. These providers act as data processors under our instruction and are contractually required to protect your data.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising or any other purpose.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Game data (HTML, metadata, versions) is retained until you delete the game or close your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely as they cannot reasonably be linked to any individual.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to certain processing activities.

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and a locale preference cookie to remember your chosen language. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. The platform may use browser localStorage to save game progress between sessions.

LearneyAI is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
